The Young Drivers Track is a great place to build confidence before going out on the open road with its 3 miles of private road system, a mile of dual carriageway, roundabouts, junctions and traffic cones to help master reversing and parking.
14 and 15 year old’s can expect a great driving experience session with emphasis on introducing them to safe driving in a fun and interesting manner. I aim to get them driving round the track as soon as possible to build their confidence behind the wheel and to ensure they have an enjoyable day.
Off-Road Driving Lessons for under age drivers
From the age of 16 we can start the formal Driving Standards Agency (DVSA) syllabus, just like a 17 year old driving on the road. This means that by the time they are able to drive on the road they could have already covered most of the ground work without the added pressure of other road users. The experience to be gained is so valuable that studies have proved that teaching drivers at an earlier age can reduce accidents by up to 40%.
Under 17’s Driving Experience sessions can be purchased online and make the ideal gift for a teenager, whether it’s a Birthday, Christmas or a well earned pat-on-the-back for doing well in their exams.
The Young Drivers Track has a viewing area where parents can watch their teenagers enjoy their driving experience or they can retreat to the nearby Three Compasses, a traditional 400 year old country Inn.
The Track is Located at Dunsfold Aerodrome on the outskirts of Cranleigh, halfway between Horsham and Guildford. The address is: Dunsfold Aerodrome, Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, Surrey, GU6 8TB. Set your SatNav for Stovolds Hill, Cranleigh.
